a couple days of meetings

no sketching during baby time

Piper came into town a little over a week ago...fun stuff! She

already owns the record at the household for the times and the

amount of spit-up...it's crazy.

Anyway...not much sketching for the past week...been good

doodling and a watercolor pen

picked up a watercolor pen when getting some markers...playing

around with it...it smears the pen a little bit but overall will be fun to

try out with my watercolor pencils...

paperwork

work is potentially switching to a new insurance provider...which
means there's paperwork to fill out...the following made for a good
laugh...a chuckle...a cajole...well...maybe not a cajole...that might
be some time of italian dessert...

anyway...here's the question in entirety:
" In the last 3 years have you or any member of your family listed
on this application been treated for a serious illness? Example
include, but are not limited to any of the following: cancer, diabetes,
multiple sclerosis, HIV/AIDS, mental/nervous disorders, congenital
birth defects, organ or other transplants, hemophilia, diseases of
the liver, kidney, lungs, heart/circulatory system; or has anyone had
surgery or incurred medical/pharmacy claims in the excess of $5,000
or is anyone currently pregnant??

The list got worse and worse...it started off nice and easy...like
"have you chipped a nail recently?" and went to "have you had to
hop around lately because your leg has melted away?" and then "is
anyone currently pregnant?"

Yes...the wife has a serious illness...them babies in the belly are
serious issues...don't want to catch that...

the good news is her illness should be over on friday...good times...

yep

today is my last monday as someone with one kid...next monday we
will have two kids. it's magic!

I've been meeting weekly with two 12 year old girls at work lately...they're
interested in illustrating so we've been walking through the basics of
thumbnails, composition, rough sketches...no erasing...that kind of stuff...it's
been fun...we'll walk through an idea and do our own thing for a while and
then compare...this past week we wrote a descriptive sentence for
one another and then we tried to illustrate it....the one that was written
for me was about Godzilla defending the city from the giant crab...
