Nearby Construction

There's a building being built near work and last week I saw an port-o-potty
like I've never seen one before...a fantastic 30 feet in the air!

Who would have ever thought that some day we could develop the technology
to be able to accomplish this feat...makes me a little teary.

Found in the parking lot

Got out of my car and saw this in the passenger seat of the car next to me.
Not sure if this is the best idea:

New Space Chickens Intro Animatic

Space Chickens sketches

We're cleaning up videos we've hastily done in the past and one
of the things that is being worked on is a new intro for Space
Chickens...it's been fun to develop sketches...walk through them
with Rabe...and develop an animatic to help guide us for the next
step of creating assets (the stuff we'll use in the video)...
here's the sketches:

the coolest

Along with those oragami birds i'm sending the seamstress another
illustration based on a picture that was taken shortly after coming
home from comic-con. At the convention all kinds of free stuff is handed
out...comic books, illustrations, shirts, you name it.

A few things I picked up were a storm-trooper mask, an inflatable He-Man
sword, and some "sleeping beauty" fairy wings. Daughter-1 put them all on
at the same time and the result can see below. I though it was awesome...Hol
just kinda shook her head. Regardless...the kid can pull off anything right
now...a benefit to being extremely cute.

oragami birds

working on a project that involves oragami birds...sending these
illustrations to a seamstress (you can never write "sewer" and
expect people to understand it doesn't involve pipes) that is going
to hopefully put them onto some shirts...

We've been referencing some old school commercials for a project
at work and one of the guys found this:

Some of the celebrities

Saw a lot more "celebrities" at the convention then the pictures below but after a
while it didn't seem to be all that big a deal to see them...they were just normal
people like the rest of us.

Guy from "The Greatest American Hero"...free autograph with purchase of poster! What a deal!

Thomas Jane. Free autographs

Corey Feldman promoting his appearance (and hopefully his comeback role)
in the direct to video classic "Lost Boys 2"

Lou Ferrigno...$30 for a polaroid!

Robert Culp offers a wide range of purchase options...

Lori...what a great '90s lady...Point Break was a great movie...Keanu...Lori...Patrick...Mr. Busey

Weapons welcome!

If you want to be able to walk around with a weapon (guns...knives...bazookas...
light sabers... swords...crossbows...real...fake...which ever you want) in a heavily
populated area...and conceal your identity...Comic Con is the place for you!

Costumes

Some buy nice houses, cars, clothes...others save for their kid's college education.
And then those few...those proud...those comic-con attenders...they buy or create
their own costumes...

surprisingly...the amount of half naked women to men was about even...

one of my bigger geek moments of the convention...can only
imagine the time and energy this costume took...

You can't tell but this guy had a speaker hidden behind his
cape with the superman soundtrack blaring...
