So the goal for this year is 210...the hope is I get to do this every day...and
if I don't please don't take it personal. Also...I apologize in advance for the
big toes. AP says I have nothing to be embarassed about...the it shows
me as a complete man...not perfect...but human...it's not a complete line
of BS...but there's a decent amount in there.

sometimes words just won't cut it...or i'm having trouble with words
so i go to the sketching... Two seperate projects...a website for manuella
and preproduction for the next kid's theme (the farmyard!)

sketching to sketch is fun...it's not mindless doodling (i'm pretty good at
that)...sketching for fun pulls you in and gives you other possibilities...and the
more you get into it the more ideas come into your head and you can't keep
up so you have to put notes next to the messy sketches just so you can
keep up. And when i say "you" I really mean "me"...but it's fun...and it's not
on a deadline (except my own) and blah blah blah...i want to get back to sketching.

let loose the monkey!

uhm...i spent all creative energy on the title....so there isn't much left to say...got
some "watercolor pencils" and am trying them out...it seems like cheating...i can
draw with these things and then add water?...part of the art of watercolor is
knowing where and when to add color...and you're dealing with the whole water part.

but i'm cool with bypassing the whole skill aspect if it makes cool pictures...for now...

Space Chicken Week 1

Puppet orthos

Briss came in on friday and we talked about the lobster puppet she's working on
for us. She did a great job with the space chicken costumes so I'm looking forward
to what she does with this. This sketch is just the starting point...Briss will add her
own thing to it and eventually we get to the final idea. The arms are seperate so
that the actor can put one of his hands in one to wave it around...and we'll attach
the other one to the barn. Briss is coming in a couple of weeks with a mockup and
then we'll get to the final puppet (this is her first time building a puppet so we need
to work the kinks out before making the final). And then...professor clauu will be here!

Car games for kids

So during the upcoming series (the Kingdom) we're giving a cd for parents to
listen to...it'll have some talking (Kimbo and I) and some music. Along with
the cd the packet will contain some games for the kids to play with. Here
